Hard Rock Hosting International Battle Of The Bands

Bands across the world, as well as event organizers and party hire in Sydney are keeping an eye on the latest event by Hard Rock Cafe International; an international “Battle of the Bands” event that aims to bring in local talent from across to do battle.

The competition is the cafe brand’s way of supporting budding local talent; aspiring bands, solo artists, musicians, DJ’s and MC’s, bringing in these local talents in 8 cities across the world.

Regional winners will be selected following the local live performances, receiving a prize of US$1,000, as well as moving onto the next round of the competition, where the public will vote on their favourite artist in a poll. The ones the public votes for the most will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Big Apple itself in order to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe New York, at the original Paramount Theatre in Times Square, as well as $15,000 cash and their time to perform in front of the top executives of the music industry.

As a bonus, the Hard Rock Team will take a lucky artist/s on a VIP tour of the Big Apple, highlighting major music landmarks, studios and venues.

The cities that’ll be hosting the event have already been announced, with Curitiba, Nashville, Seattle, Sydney, Moscow and Glasgow set to host the local level events, good news for musicians and party hire in Sydney and the other cities.

The live performance-centred event will see the competitors going against each other, performing three songs; their own, re-imagined covers of popular songs of their choosing of a different genre than the original, as well as one of their original recordings.

Hard Rock Cafe International has already started accepting entries for the competition, with entries being accepted until February 9, 2019. Artists that are submitting for the event must have at least one member of the band, or, if they’re a solo act, they themselves, must live within 50km of their participating local Hard Rock Cafe, as well as being 18 years of age.

Hard Rock International President of Cafe Operations Stephen K. Judge says that music is the centre of the Hard Rock brand, and they have been committed to supporting live music and talent from across the world.

Judge states that they are honoured to lend promising artists from across the world a chance to accelerate their career.
